Unless otherwise stated, the Policy describes and governs the information collection, use and sharing practices of Infinite View with respect to your use of our website and the services (“Service(s)”) we provide and/or host on our servers.

The data we collect

 

The types of data we may collect, store and use depend on how you use our Services. We will use this collected data for some or all the reasons set out in this Policy.

 

Information you supply to us. You may supply us with information about you when filling out forms on our website, for example when creating an account. Naturally, this requires you to share with us your name, date of birth, e-mail address and social media profiles.

 

Information our Service automatically collects about you. Regarding each of your visits to our website, or any part of the Service, we may automatically collect information including the following:

 

·      Technical information, including a truncated and anonymised version of your Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, and platform.

Since our services are hosted on external companies’ servers (render.com, bunny.net) additional information may be collected about you, but not necessarily shared with us. You are advised to read the Privacy Policy of these services and agree to their terms before using any part of the Service. 

 

 

 

Cookies

 

Our Services use cookies and your browser’s “Local storage” to help distinguish you from other users and ensure our core functionality operates correctly. We only use essential data storage mechanisms, including:

·      Cookies for secure login with Google

·      Local storage for our map to function and load correctly, to authenticate your Google session, and to pair your device to an Infinite Flight account.

 

We only use strictly necessary cookies to log you in (via Google, who may set additional cookies to do this) and to ensure our map functions correctly and in a convenient way for you. We do not use cookies or local storage for advertising, analytics or profiling purposes.

 

Some cookies and local storage items are temporary (“session” data) and disappear when you close your browser. Others are persistent and remain on your device to retain settings and/or preferences.

 

You can manage or delete cookies and local storage items through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

 

Please note that additional cookies by third-party services (such as Google for login or Mapbox for maps) may be introduced as set forth by their Privacy Policies. We recommend reviewing those policies for more information.

 

 

Push Notifications

If you opt in to receive push notifications, your browser will generate a unique, anonymous subscription token, which we store on our servers temporarily for the duration of the flight(s) that you are following. This token enables us to send notifications to your device. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information or user accounts and is only used to deliver the notifications you request. By enabling notifications in your browser, you consent to this usage.

Push notifications are facilitated via your browser’s native push service (e.g., Google or Apple), and may involve international data transfer handled by those third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by changing your browser’s notification settings or clearing the stored site data.

 

How we may use the information we collect

 

We use the information collected in different ways depending on the type of data and context.

 

Information you supply to us. We use this information to verify it’s you logging in.

 

Information we automatically collect about you. We use this information to:

 

·      Administer our site including for troubleshooting purposes.

·      To improve our site and ensure the optimum version is loaded for your device.

·      Security and debugging as part of our efforts to keep the Services secure and safe.

 

 

How long we keep your personal information

 

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary. This time period may depend on how you are using the Service or how we are using your data, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Your personal information will be deleted when it is no longer required. However, if deemed necessary, your personal information may be retained to comply with legal, accounting or reporting obligation.

 

Children’s privacy

 

As set out in our Terms of Use, we do not aim any of our Services towards children under the age of 13. As a result, we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of 13.

Information about our users is an important part of our operations, but we are not in the business of selling our users’ personal information to others.

The information that we collect from you is stored/processed by our third-party providers where they maintain their services. These locations may not be in the same country as you and may not have the same data protection laws as the country where you provided the information. If we transfer personal information to third parties in other countries, we will do so in accordance with the requirements of applicable law and we will protect the information as laid out in this Privacy Policy. 

 

 

Our security procedures

 

The personal information that we collect is kept strictly confidential and fully secure. Your encrypted information is protected using “Secure Socket Layers (SSL)” as your information passes from your browser to the Service. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

 

Despite this, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are advised not to use the same password for multiple accounts. We will never ask you for your password and will address any communication to you by name.
